Runner's Corner - A Cyberpunk Battle Map

Runner's Corner is a known meeting place for fixers, corporate faces, and freelance agents (often called as nightrunners). The Runner's corner has a variety of small street bars and kitchens, small data kiosks, street vendors, and 3D-printer shops. 

Who you might meet? 

Roll 1d10

1 - Chip Liu, a data dealer selling a hot chip with some exotic simsense track, hot corporate access codes, military-grade single-use assassination blackware, or rare design software.

2 - Januzka, an old corporate war merc turned a fixer. They are looking for a crew for a quick job. Roll a Random Nightrun .

3 - Lt. Lewis, a detective looking for someone called, Deck Rickard. He starts by using fluent gangspeak, a heavy mix of pidgin languages and street slang.  Asks for information and gives his contact tag for contacting. 

4 - Deck Rickard, is a retired white hat cyberjockey. He is having a bowl of ramen and minding his own business, when he suddenly starts looking for something. Looks like he has lost something important. It might be that he needs someone to do a job for him... Roll a Random Nightrun.  

5 - Police Sweep, a patrol spinner hovers over the street scanning people with facial recognition software and chip scanners, while two police robots walk around scanning people's faces and looking for traces of dangerous or illegal chemicals or weapons. Not surprisingly, a good deal of people start leaving the Runner's Corner when this happens.

6 - Ginza, a street vendor selling cheap burner phones and cyber-terminal chips. "Good price! No problems! Get now three for price of two!"

7 - Venla, A street surgeon. She's a veteran combat medic who runs a small street kitchen selling Nordic foods and drinks out of her booth. For the right price, you can get to visit her backroom clinic. She can stitch you up, and do chip removals and quick implant surgeries in a matter of minutes. 

8 - Oracle, somewhat a local celebrity known to have some mental issues. The Oracle wanders around the streets mumbling and listening to data terminals and looking deep into screens.  People say that he used to be a top hacker, but he got his brain almost burned by a malicious corporate ICE.  Most of what he says does not make any sense, but some times –sometimes– he might say something very meaningful or even prophetic. Some claim, that his brain would be still connected to some secret AI network. 

9 - Old Ben, has a repair shop and the best electro-microscope around these parts. He can analyze chips, implants, and software, or repair broken equipment. He also might have something special under the counter for sale. He wears a brown robe and does a lot of waving with his hands.  He also might have a job for you... Roll a Random Nightrun

10 - Fight! Most of the time people know how to behave at Runner's Corner, but sometimes things escalate. A short fight breaks out next to the characters.

About This Map

This map was not drawn originally into a battle map. It turned out to be much larger than originally planned. Another thing is the coloring. I had not really done maps with urban colors and lights. I had to look up and study some reference materials, and I think it turned out fine. 

This map was drawn with Copic Multiliners on a graph paper and colored on Photoshop.
