VTT Platforms [Poll]

Hi all! I thought it's time to do a quick survey about virtual tabletops now that many have switched to using online platforms in their games. So, in short, which platform(s) are you using?

I've been recently using Roll20 myself, but I've noticed that the standards vary a bit between different platforms, and people use VTTs for a bit different purposes. For example, we have used maps with Fate, so movement by squares has not been a big thing, but it can be the opposite for D&D.

Because of this, I'm also interested in what you are using VTTs for, and what features are important to you.  If you like, you can elaborate in the comments on what kind of assets you are using, what you are usually looking for in a map you use,  or if there are certain assets (tokens, maps, tiles) you have found hard to find.

Thanks!

Take care & stay safe,

Miska

I use Roll20 at the Plus level membership, I really like the dynamic lighting. I have purchased some of the Starfinder rules out of the Roll20 marketplace so that I can drag and drop equipment/feats/spells onto my NPCs, and there are a handful of non-Paizo clip art packs in the Sci-Fi style at very reasonable prices. As a GM that purchased these added assets, my players get access to these resources for free as long as they're playing in one of my games. I've been GMing Starfinder's Dead Sun's adventure path on Roll20, using it for the maps when we gamed in person. One player brought a laptop along and a mini projector, which was small enough that a microphone boom could hold it over our table pointed straight down. It provided the Players map and we used real miniatures to mark the players and NPCs. Because of COVID-19, we game purely online, we do all of it on Roll20, using the character sheets and video chat. Google docs supplies the adventure log, where everyone can add notes. I paste in player handouts there, scenery from the Adventure PDFs and stuff I've added in from Pinterest. The Adventure Log is also a convenient place for the players to discuss treasure division and for me to summarize the previous session XP awards.
