Printable PDF Test
Added 2020-08-27 07:07:33 +0000 UTCHi everyone, while I'm working on a few new maps for this month, I also did a quick test to see if I could make true-scale printing of my maps for tabletop and miniature use easier.
I attached a quick test for you to see. The "printable" is one large file and "printable-pages" are divided into A4 pages in this case. It's also quite easy to print the pages yourself from the big "printable" file using Adobe Acrobat:
- Open the file in Acrobat
- Select "print"
- Choose "Poster" from the printing options and make sure the scale is 100%
- Add trim marks or make any other adjustments you like and click "Print"
I'm interested to know if this is something you would find useful and in what size standard. The PDF would be made out of the default version and included in the basic map packs.

I've done this many times before with other PDFs (works with FoxIt Reader). I've literally taped together maps that cover the finger table. I've also used the big printers at my local print shop. The biggest challenge is always the sizing. If you provide the PDF "presized" that's a big win for either type of printing (see FoxIt for cutting to multiple pages or even "size to page"). But most of us are trapped at home right now and need to play online. For that, we need JPG with accurate DPI. Even better if the outer border is exactly an inch so it's easy to align.

That is if instructions on how to use poster print with Adobe Acrobat or some other ubiquitous tool, is easy to be found (linked in the document / at the download page).
