November's Maps and Weekly poll
Added 2020-11-04 14:50:26 +0000 UTCHi everyone!
Time to announce the results for this month's map poll and at the same time Let's have a another poll related to the upcoming maps .
November's Top 5 Maps
1) Overgrown urban ruins
2) Secret bio-laboratory
3) Infested spaceship
4) Crashlanded Spelljammer / Airship
5) Spaceport terminal
Coming Up Next...
At the moment I have two maps from last month unfinished. I had a few days a bit under the weather at the turn of the month, but I'm back on track finishing these maps and the first asset pack. I have a really good feeling about these maps and they should be ready for release during this week.
Coming later this week:
- A factory map with narrow bridges and catwalks
- A city map with fantasy and sci-fi variants
- Asset pack(s) with plants and miscellaneous machinery and furniture for sci-fi and fantasy.
Weekly Poll
This said I get to start with the new maps next week. I thought that I'll try to make most of this month's maps so that they share some visual elements so they are easy to tie into a series of adventures. The combining theme will be "infestation" and first I'd like to hear your ideas for the secret bio-lab and the urban ruins.
Vote below for the ideas that you like the most by Nov 11th.
#Mapvember and Spaceship Modules
This year I'm spending my Mapvember making spaceship modules. I'm a bit behind the schedule and to save time I will probably make a weekly release with a bunch of maps. Depending on how easy and fast it will be, I might make a normal and infested version of each map.

That's all for now :)
Take care & thanks for your support!

No, that's going to be a new map. Different enough to justify a new map pack (e.g. a new ship type, more interior room for exploration, etc.)

2020-11-05 18:07:02 +0000 UTCThe spaceship might be tricky, but I was thinking of placing the space station inside a small asteroid, so that might make things easier. I need to have a look at the maps for Barrier Peaks and the Pathfinder campaign with a crashlanded spaceship, for some ideas

2020-11-04 17:47:59 +0000 UTCThe thing about sci-fi stuff is that if it's an underground base I can usually use a standard dungeon map and spruce it up with set dressing. If it's a standing structure I can usually use modern architectural maps and spruce them up with set dressing. Space stuff is where we need the most help - ships and space stations, etc. Of course, a good map is a good map and if I have something that can be used with less set dressing, then that's a little less work for me.
