News & New Map Archive Poll
Added 2021-06-29 10:40:00 +0000 UTCUPDATE: Based on the comments and poll results I will move on with the website solution (I especially liked the gallery idea and I think it would be the most practical overall). I am not abandoning the current map library, but I will restructure it a bit so it's clearer to browse through and find the important stuff.
I hope these updates would be done during July.
Thank you all for your comments and ideas!

Hi everyone,
A quick post about what's still coming out this month and about my plans for July.
Basic and Unlimited Map Packs
This is a quick update on the patron rewards. I have simplified my workflow a bit and reduced the number of different map packs to two.
- The basic map pack includes one variant of the map. This replaces the old Explorer map pack.
- The unlimited map pack includes all available variants of the map. This replaces the old Adventurer and Hero map packs.
Both include gridded and gridless maps in 140ppi resolution.
Coming Today / Tomorrow
I'm almost done with two more maps "Lower Deck Junction" and "Automobile Ambush". I'm also going to release two Foundry Module updates tomorrow (more coming next week).
July Plans
OK, so it's my last week in my day job at Colossal Order as Senior Game Designer, and starting next week I'm going to work full-time on maps and other RPG content. The last month at work was much busier than I expected, but this week looks much more relaxed already.
In July the theme of the month is going to be Star Wars / Rogue One inspired "Bases and Hideouts". There will be also a related asset pack and some encounters and adventure hooks. In addition to these, I'm going to publish a few extra maps and assets (mostly maps and assets that I did not get to finish during June).
In the future, I'm aiming for weekly map releases and a monthly bigger release like an adventure or a bigger collaboration with other creators. But, time will show how everything settles down after a while.
I'm also delaying any further changes to the membership tiers until I have a better feel of my weekly routines.
The New Map Library
Besides the maps, I'm planning to update the Map Archive, but I'm still considering a few options. The plan is to have a list with thumbnails, tags, size, and relevant links.
Because Patreon does not offer proper tools for anything like this, I'm considering between a Google Sheet or a responsive web page on miskasmaps.com. Which one would be your choice, or do you have another suggestion?
Comments
I like what Tom Cartos has done using MyAirBridge to share his maps.

2021-06-29 22:25:01 +0000 UTCYou could make a very simple static website, either by hand or with a CMS like grav, wordpress etc and use basic HTTP authentication to allow access to it (with the key given in patreon). It would be simple to set up (I believe NginX has that functionality built in), would be very fast for many people and easy to maintain. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents.
