News: Mapvember 2021 & World Anvil Collaboration

Yesterday I released a bundle of maps at the last minute. As I mentioned in a previous (patrons-only) post,   October did not go quite as planned and I had to crunch a bit at the end of the month to get the maps done. As a note, the Foundry VTT scenes of the maps are still missing, but I'll be working on them this week to get them all back up to date. I'll be looking into the Moulinette integration for Foundry VTT later this week as well. 

#Mapvember

This month is going to be all about #mapvember and space rockets. Mapvember is a map drawing challenge open for all.  I started the first mapvember in 2015 as the only participant and that's actually how Miska's Maps got started :) The goal of mapvember is to draw one map a day for the whole of November. That's 30 maps in a month. 

The prompt list is generic in nature, as mapvember is open for everyone, but I'll use the prompts to kick off my "Infinite Rocket" project. Every day I will post a patrons-only deckplan for a gravity thrust spaceship. This means that the decks are designed to be stacked vertically, but I'm looking into options to have a version without the ladders or elevators going through the levels and making a separate connector so the decks could be used as rooms or modules as well. 

The decks will vary in size and most will be smaller than my usual maps. 

I will post patron-only versions of my maps every day or every other day on weekdays. I'm also making a Foundry VTT module of these maps and an update for that will be released on a weekly basis. The manifest URL will be released on Friday. 

Other Maps

I'm not sure yet, but I might release a few other maps or other content besides the mapvember maps. I have a few unfinished maps and asset packs, and some ideas I'm itching to get done (some Dune-inspired maps for example). If I just have some spare time, I'll finish these.
