I thought I'd give short summary of my plans for this and the upcoming week.
I attached some unreleased previews of the decks I've done, but have not had time to make the releases yet. I'll be making several releases this week.
Last week I made a spin junction deck that connects the main hull to spin gravity wheel/drum – or whatever you call it :) This week I plan to make a few spin gravity modules that can be connected to other modules from either end of the module. I'm planning to make some basic crew accommodations, but also labs, a gym, and perhaps some sort of prison cells or a sick bay.
I had to revisit my goals for this month. At first, I was aiming for 30 decks for this month, but seems like 15-20 decks is more realistic assuming I'm going to get something else done this month too. However, my plan right from the beginning was not to do just the 30 decks but to have this as an ongoing project with a few added decks every month. So, I expect to get the 30 first decks done before the end of the year.
After that, I might switch for a while to make similar horizontal modules or ship sections now that I have the workflow set up. Another similar project I've had in mind is a cyberpunk arcology and different rooms or spaces for that. Something in the vein of the mega blocks in Judge Dredd or alternatively a corporate megastructure with the various corporate facilities. On the other hand, these are not exclusive, and it's totally possible to make a megastructure with some slum levels at the bottom and more luxurious corp levels higher up. Anyways, I'll get back to this later, but all kinds of comments and suggestions are already welcome.
On the side, I'm working on a partially abandoned/repurposed ecological desert research facility and ancient ruins buried in ice. I'll see if I could get something else finished before the end of the month. These both ended up being quite big maps, so I might do something smaller to warm up or freshen up my creativity.
One thing that has come up a few times before is the sci-fi and cyberpunk-themed tokens. I haven't had time to work on these yet, but lately, I've been having a growing itch to give these a try. If I have some spare time or happen to get a sudden inspiration, I might make a small experimental batch of tokens. I'm making a separate post & poll about these shortly.
First of all, this week I'm going to continue making the missing scenes for Foundry VTT and updating the modules with new ambient audio and sound effects.
Also, I'll be looking into the Moulinette Integration again later this week if I could get that done. Hopefully by the end of the month if not this week already.
Samuli is working on new floor textures and props for Dungeondraft. I'll focus more on that next week, but I hope we could make an update with new stuff for Dungeondraft before the end of the month already.
