It is not just about creating the perfect tusk husband (and friends), he also needs a home. This feature has been cooking for a while and couldn't really come out until fundamental server issues were sorted out. Remember all those custom tattoo blunders? Yeah, that kind of thing. This version features mostly:
Initial implementation of a building system and UI, and a prop placement inventory. Both are currently in full creative mode and, for the time being, allow placemen without limitation.
Big update to network code (server and client) in order to allow all of the above.
Custom server sessions can be saved and will load on the servers list upon approaching the cave fireplace.
Long hairstyle mesh upgraded.
Inventory items can now be sorted, and also dragged into custom positions.
Optimized update functions on props and building pieces added to the scenes by the player. Their rendering now also has a little more culling.
Fixed critical update issues on both server and client networking routines.
Campfire, candles and fire brazier can now be selected after being placed.
Added a couple more props to decorate the places: chairs, tables, benches. None can be used to sit yet, but I'll be working on that!
Caching of online structures is now active, allowing sessions to skip downloading scene data redundantly until it changes on the server.
Further optimizations to lights' shadow rendering.
Added placeholder triangular roofs and walls, which should allow you to cover such bits on your buildings.
Fixed crash when opening the Inn's vault cabinet.
Fixed blue rim light issue when ambient reflections is turned off on "Fastest" setting.
Improved loading times for online sessions containing custom player structures.
Fixed timeout issue where some players would drop out while trying to load after connecting.
Added LOD levels to some of the building pieces.
Offline saving of built structures is currently disabled while I figure out a compact way to store them on the player's profile. Wood is the only material you can use right now to test it all, until other materials (like stone) become available. Be aware that some of the pieces are a little stubborn to snap in place: try different camera angles while doing so, especially on those pesky stairs...
