Happy midweek, everyone! I hope you're all having a fantastic week! 💕 'm feeling a bit burnt out after wrapping up Bun Hunting 2 last week (see it in this post) 🐺🍑🐰 Anim 1000+ frames of Hank and Billy for a year can take it out of you!

I can’t draw much right now, let alone animate the rest of Mockingbird anim, and resting is boring. So, I’ve shifted my focus to writing ideas for a one-shot/pilot short story of our naked cat, Oat O’Connel, for The Baretender project instead!

The Cast of The Bartender: One-Shot/Pilot

Oat O'Connell: A dashing ginger cat with a striking physique, Oat is a gifted mixologist whose cocktails can mend broken hearts and stir the deepest emotions. However, his brilliance behind the bar is overshadowed by his arrogance, laziness, and foul-mouthed demeanor—a masterful bartender but a chaotic personality.

Rurik and Aurik: A pair of mischievous monitor lizard hooligans who wreak havoc at Oat’s bar. These troublemakers are borrowed from my BF, Ginkgosan’s old comic series. 💕

Mill: A mysterious, sharp-tongued art student who stumbles into Oat’s bar and is shocked to witness the cat in all his unabashed glory.

How will Oat navigate this awkward situation, caught stark naked in his own bar?

My goal is to dive into this project without letting it overshadow the Hank and Billy anim saga. A short novel format feels perfect, it lets me flesh out the concept, write scenes straight from my head, and I can adapt it into a comic, motion comic, or even an anim later. Heck, it even can become a full blown novel with illustrations! XD

Plus, it’s a great way to practice my English as well!
