Of course, you’d heard of it. But never really thought to play it. It’s a hardcore gamers game, and you’re anything but a hardcore gamer. But after all you’ve been through - you believe in yourself. So you mount the man that The Hand belonged to’s gamer chair and sit in front of the whirring CRT. You load up the console and begin to play Strawberry Shortcake Simulator 2027.
It’s the greatest thing you’ve ever done. Your whole life perspective is changed. This game is incredible. The graphics, the sound design, the gripping narrative, the engaging fruit and cream gameplay - you feel like you’re alive. A new person.
Something has shifted in your life. You forget about your lost carrot family. You have a new dream. You will become a video game developer.
You wheel around in the gamer chair to the computer console and begin typing carrot-ly. You log onto The Hand’s Twitter (he had over 700k followers for his work as a Replying To Bad Politicians Guy) and tweet the following message:
“hI everyOnE I m makng vidge game. whoo help?”
And the responses come flooding in. Three of them are immediately appealing:
From Bingo Nights:
“Hey Thomas! I’m Bingo Nights, a video game developer and 3d artist with a lot of experience on AAA games, usually open world shooters and stealth games. I’d love to help realize your vision!
From Your Ex Wife, Sandra:
“tommy what the hell is this, and why haven’t you been answering your phone? you never picked the kids up and you’re talking about video games? I’m calling my lawyer and he’s going to give you an earful, that’s for sure.”
From I Am Not A Bot:
“WOW! I just got picked to win $7000 USD and a free Carnival Cruise and so can you! Just click in my link and enter your credit card and social security number and you can join ME!
