I don't tend to do traditional art like this, but I thought it would be nice to practice (and thought maybe it would look good in my portfolio haha). I tried out three different methods and learned that doing a copic base with colored pencils on top is super nice with dark colors/highly contrasting works.
I also got super sentimental and nostalgic while I was drawing. These were my first impressions of Italy (these pictures being taken in the first three or four days of the trip) and even now when I look back on my time living in Italy, I feel that bit of wander I had back then taking these pictures. And, of course, the immense excitement at finally seeing historical sights was overwhelming.
Fun fact: the Blue Grotto in Capri was a place known by the Ancient Romans. Emperor Tiberius liked it a whole lot.
I couldn't do the water and atmosphere in there justice unfortunately, but I might try again with oil paints!
Also: I'll be posting some NSFW art soon which will be!! Exciting!
