A Well Deserved Rest + July Updates

Hello! I'm sorry for not posting too much so far, I've been focusing entirely on chugging through the end of my contract and, I'm just about done. There are some final edits to do, but besides that, I've officially finished NPCs Can Save the World Too! on Manta.

I'm not sure how to feel to be honest. I thought I'd be a lot more emotional, but right now I'm just feeling incredibly exhausted. I've spent many years on this story and there are many more to come as I continue to work on its successor, Lucent. To be clear: the characters and plot will continue, but under a new title and with some changes. 

That does mean that this is technically the last illustration with the characters as they are. I've been holding off on drawing them with updated designs until the end of the story, but now that it's coming to a close, I can and I can use a new tag for all their posts. Somehow, that feels more real than actually finishing this story. I'll very much miss these guys as they are, but I hope you all will like their new designs as I work on them.

$10 patrons may have seen a bit of the changes I'm making to designs, but that will be my primary focus this month when it comes to the story. Well, that and resting.

Which leads me to my main thing. I've worked a lot. Arguably too much if my friends and the discord server are to be believed LOL. I've run off of a really awful mix of guilt and perfectionism the last three years to the extreme detriment of my health. I've had a couple of health issues crop up, both minor and major so I'd like to be kinder to myself and give myself some real time to relax. I'll still be drawing and updating Patreon because I live and breathe art, but for this month, I'm making an effort to just do sketches and looser drawings. I'm not actually sure how well I'm going to follow that plan, but I am going to try to. At the very least, I'll be out for a week starting on the 12th because I'm visiting a friend!

Another thing! I was accepted as an indie artist at San Japan, meaning I'll be tabling at the artist alley selling original works including prints, stickers, artbooks, and maybe some keychains if I can get those in time! Because of that, I am going to be scrambling a bit to make sure I have enough merch to sell LOL Sooooo maybe there'll be some illustrations coming y'all's way because of that...

But for now, I'm taking the rest of this day off. Have a good weekend y'all!
