Hey guys!
Today I’ve prepared a new build of FBTW for you all to enjoy.
While this build is still in beta, heaps of the game have changed and I wanted to get what I have right now into the hands of my patrons.
Please read the notice below for more details about this build.
Now about the game!
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally in a position to share some of the exciting new things we’ve been working on over the past few months, such as:
• A brand new UI design!
• The sprite library has been fully reworked to facilitate more expressive character behaviour.
• File squish!!! The game has been significantly trimmed in size.
• Code overhaul, which will allow for faster scripting of future builds.
• New sprites and additional artwork.
• And over 50,000 words of script in beta stage of implementation, spanning across 3 updates in the future.
There’s also a bunch of other exciting stuff in the works, so be sure to stay tuned for when I have more to share about the future of FBTW.
I wanted to have this full build released before my visit to Portugal this past week, however I couldn’t make it happen and I apologise to anyone I kept waiting.
The laptop I have isn’t fast enough for the work I need to do to get everything wrapped up, so I decided to give you guys the part that’s finished now, and release the rest once I’m back home after the 8th of October.
Notice
FBTW 4.7 should be considered a beta build. Due to the massive overhauls of the way the game is scripted, the existing content has yet to be entirely updated. As such, this build is a standalone and only contains new content past the ending of the previous update.
In order to continue the story, please press start from the main menu rather than loading your existing saves. This will pick up directly from the end of the previous update.
I plan to have the rest of the game updated and compatible with the new version in due time.
Once again, thank you all for holding out while I implemented these big, but important changes that were needed for the game.
Your support is the only reason I was able to make them happen.

2021-10-04 04:40:06 +0000 UTCDon't go to chapters (I made the same mistake btw) or your saves. Just press start at the main menu and the VN will continue the story where we last left off the previous update. Hope that helps.

2021-10-03 12:19:36 +0000 UTCFor anyone that wants to play on Android download the PC version and use the joiplay app :). I just tested it out and I'm able to play without issues. I'm missing the save but it's ultimately not a huge deal. Edit- you'll need the joiplay renpy extension from the playstore too.

To now have character sprites for this part has me thoroughly gruntled. The new Menus look great and I can't wait to experience the rest of this chapter once it's finished!!
