Difficulty Poll

I’ve been looking at the comments on here and on Tfgames.site. It sounds like most people feel like this game is too hard. On one hand, I think it should be hard: someone who used to be a popular guy and thinks of himself as a guy suddenly turns into a girl, and starts dating the popular star quarterback. That shouldn’t be easy. But on the other hand, it’s also a game, and it should be fun. So I wanted to put up a poll: is You Throw Like A Girl too hard, and if it is, what should I do to make it easier? (You can choose multiple options)

A. Make it easier to unlock some of the hard to reach scenes
B. Slow down the pacing (right now, it’s set up so if you transform yourself at every opportunity and go down the Griffin path whenever you get a chance, you’ll run out of content at the same place the scripted events (football games, other events) stop. Slowing down the pacing would give everyone else a chance to catch up, but wouldn’t leave a whole lot to do for people far along on the Griffin path)
C. Give hints if there’s something you need to do in order to unlock a scene
D. Add information about how to unlock the hard to reach scenes to the walkthrough
E. Nothing, this game is at just the right difficulty level
F. This game is too easy. Make it harder!
G. Other

C+D seems like the best solution. The pacing is fast, but I feel like it's appropriate for the story.

I'm not sure how to do that. If I'm checking variables like the MC's masculinity or the number of times they've been transformed, it's easy to adjust that based on difficulty. But if the yoga scene requires doing scenes A, B and C first in order to fit with the story, I'm not sure how to handle that.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, what about a difficulty setting? Is that possible?

C + D definitely. I love the game but it is difficult to play through all of it for the new scenes at the end of the update. It also takes a long time.

E. The game is not hard.

I'd also go with C+D. I think it isn't hard. Everyone who thinks it's hard can use the hints. Everyone who likes the game as it is can ignore the hints.

I'd have to say C+D I like the game the way it is but would be nice to provide hints or walk through to make finding things easier for those that have trouble

I'd also go with C+D. Usually after every new release, I just look through the text to find the new scenes you describe so it'd be really nice to be able to know how to trigger them in game without having to interpret all the code.

C+D. I don't mind difficulty in a game as long as you have some idea of how/where to progress. On every play through, I reach the end of content, the game is still telling me I have more of so-and-so scenes to see, but I have no clue how to get those scenes.

E. Though as some have suggested possibly a list of endings after completing the game or some sort of outside guide. Your doing entertaining work, keep true to your media.

E, maybe C/D. Like you say, this shouldn't be an easy thing to get through, and I'd be disappointed to see the experience cheapened. I'd vote against in-game hints or metagame warnings, but certainly wouldn't mind an external guide to help with discovering all of the hidden content. I would also not be against a post-game endings checklist like some games do; something you wouldn't have access to until you finish the game once.

A/C i play the game for fun and often just remove all the checks for scenes in the code cause i cant be bothered to replay a whole game just to get another scene

C/D. I keep running into roadblocks or dead end on content before I think I am supposed to. Even a clue as to when various options run out might help. Some paths have more transformation options - it wasn't obvious to me in advance how TFs would happen. Also, it seems to me that if someone had all of the transformations, they would not really seem androgynous - they would seem pretty female. - certainly female enough to shop in a women's clothing store.

C/E. Good with where it’s at, but understand the need for a hint on occasion

Personally im okay with where the game is at ATM, but if you had to i wouldnt hate C or D. just for the people who want to see absolutely everything in the game
