Daily Free-Write July 18, 2021: The Baby Patrol Pt. 8

Continuation of June 29th, 2021 "The Baby Patrol Pt. 7"

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7

Note: You may notice that the little story in this chapter bears a certain resemblance to the events of an earlier one-shot I posted last year. Coincidence? Or part of a larger plot? Only time will tell!

The next day, Ted finished his caretaker's training early and made his way to the local Daycare Center where his little brother was undergoing some training of his own. Because of his special status as a future member of the Baby Patrol, Ted was permitted to enter the nursery without an attendant and had free reign of the daycare. He wanted to surprise his little bro with a piggy back ride and an early ticket home, something he knew Brad would like very much. Ted looked around and saw Brad sitting with a big group of kids around Lisa, the attendant in training who helped with Brad's hair removal on his first day. They were in a story circle and she was looking much more confident as she read a modern history picture book to the little ones. Ted knew this story well, but he hung back, knowing what a faux pas it was to interrupt story time. Besides, he liked this story, and he could never hear it too many times. Lisa made it extra entertaining with her biggest, most expressive voice.

"One day, Artie in his infinite wisdom decided that humans were really much healthier and happier when they had someone to look after them, supervise their bedtimes, and keep them from drinking yucky alcohol or watching media that wasn't good for them. So Artie made a new law and gave everyone their very own nannybot!"

"YAY!!" everyone said, along with Lisa, as she showed the picture book around.

"But some people weren't happy with that."

"BOO!" everyone called out. Lisa showed an illustration of the angry protesters to all the kids on the carpet, going 'boo' and shaking her head in disapproval right along with the kids.

"All the angry protesters gathered outside the Bot Distribution and Service Center, where all the P.A.Ls. came from." Ted knew that P.A.L. was the name for the personal automated assistant that everyone had before Artie decided to leave the physical world to the humans and became fully virtual. He would have liked to see one in action, but sadly they were now just museum pieces. Lisa continued the story.

"Many of the protesters didn't like technology." Here, Lisa did a sad voice and made a sad voice. "The loudest and angriest protesters were Anti-Techers. They didn't like the gifts that Artie offered and wanted to live without technology in their own free-zone!" The infantilized adults all gasped and shook their heads in disbelief at the very notion.

"But then, Artie showed them the way." Lisa showed a picture of all the protesters staring at big swirly screens above the open square where they stood. They were smiling and many of them had wet stains on the crotches of their pants, or cartoon shorts.

"And then, the protesters all dispersed and decided that they really liked the way artie did things, and they would live in the city with the rest of the good citizens."

"Yay!" cried all the little ones. Lisa smiled and chuckled. Ted couldn't help but smile and chuckle too. The regressed ones' enthusiasm was so cute and contagious. They were really the best advertisement for the wisdom of Artie.

"And then the nannybots all came out of the Distribution Center and took all the happy citizens to their new homes where they would be safe and comfortable for ever more. The end."

Everyone clapped, from all of the littles to the employees themselves. It was clear that Lisa's storytime was a big hit, and Ted idly wondered if he could ask her out to talk history one on one. He strolled up to pick up his little bro and try to say hi to Lisa when who should show up but Elissa.

"Heyyy, Ted! So happy I ran into you here. That was a pretty good story, wasn't it?"

"Y-yeah," said Ted, picking up his very excited little bro. Cock blocked by little miss chipper, he thought, as he looked back at his nauseatingly peppy neighbor. Ted was flustered and annoyed, but he tried not to show it as he watched his chance to talk to Lisa slip away. She was not talking to some other guy from the Daycare staff, as the dependent citizens were led away by other attendants for changes and naps.

"Hello? Earth to Ted."

"Huh?"

"Typical boy. So distractible. Did you even hear what I said?"

"Uh, not really," he said, not wanting to apologize to the likes of her.

"You're so silly," she giggled. "I said. Why don't you and Brad come over to my place? We might as well get that playdate started early since we're both off early." Ted had no plans to spend his extra free time with her and did his best to think of an excuse.

"Uh, well, actually, I might need some time to get ready. The little guy probably needs a bath, and, well, he hasn't had his nap and might get cranky if he doesn't at least get a bottle and a little cat nap..."

"That's fine," said Elissa. "Daddy- I mean my little one needs a bath too, so they could take it together! I've got a big enough tub for the both of them. Oh, it'll be so cute! And then while they take a nap, we could get to know each other a little better too! I saw you on the news yesterday. You just have to tell me about what you did to get such a commendation from Artie."

"Oh, uh..." Ted was too embarrassed to admit that he'd gotten praise for masturbating and cumming hard in his new body without cursing. But his dick swelled with the memory of it. He blushed and hoped she wouldn't comment on it.

"Say," said Elissa, her face turning a little red as well. "You sure are looking buff. What is Artie feeding you, anyway?"

"Uh, well, funny story," Ted began. He sighed internally. No hiding it from her now. If he didn't say something, Artie was sure to pop up and spill the beans for him.

"Actually, I'm-"

"He's on track to being a member of the Baby Patrol," said an excited avatar of Artie. The avatar that popped up was, of course, the likeness of Dash the Baby Patrol K9-squad pup, from Ted's favorite animated show, Pawsome Squad.

"Wow, really?" asked Elissa, her eyes lighting up as she looked to Ted. "Oh my Artie, you've gotta tell me all about that. Is this your biggest dream come true? Have you always wanted to be a Baby Patrol Captain? Do you think you'll be Captain someday? How cool would that be? Do you think I could be in the Baby Patrol too? I'm totally Baby Patrol Material, don't you think?"

Ted was bowled over by the barrage of questions, but managed to remind Elissa that she still needed to pick up her charge if they were going to get out of there. He had hoped to sneak out early with Brad and invent an excuse to cancel their little playdate with Elissa and her embattled father-turned-baby. Unfortunately, that was all blown now. He resigned himself to his fate as she returned with the exhausted looking man in tow. Her poor father was clearly long over this treatment, and hating life as her little one, and Ted didn't blame him. Just walking side by side with her as they pushed their strollers down the street was exhausting enough for Ted. At least Brad seemed content, snuggling a teddy bear he picked up at some point during his day. How he envied the little guy, able to escape into a world of his own with the simplest distractions. Ted was not so lucky, however. Elissa's chirpy voice cut right through Ted's daydreams as effectively as a hot knife through butter.

"You'll never believe this but my favorite show is Pawsome Squad too! Check out my avatar." Elissa held out her arm and an avatar of Everest, the ski patrol K9 popped up on Elissa's wrist above her watch.

"Oh, wow. Who would have guessed?" asked Ted, less than enthused. This was going to be one long playdate. He could already tell.
