Posting Times, Twitter, and Word Counts [Update Blog]

Hi everyone! Hope you haven't missed me too much, I had exams and then came down really sick so I've been a little AFK.

I hope you've been enjoying the new fic, for those of you following it! My Father's Son is one of my favourite things I've ever written, and definitely my favourite in recent memory, so I hope everyone else likes it as much as I do!

I have, however, changed the posting time on it, because I tend to schedule the chapters a day or two early, and I had been posting them at about my bedtime, which of course meant I was waking up every time someone left a comment 😂 I've now shifted them to post around the time I wake up so that the comments might convince me to get out of bed, so please don't panic when the next chapter is ~8 hours later than previously!

There are a lot of chapters to come, it'll run potentially to the end of the year (I haven't entirely finished it yet so I'm not sure exactly how long it will be), but may not be daily that entire time depending on how quickly I get each chapter finished!

I'm also working through my Threadvember prompts so look out for those in the near future! The Patreon system isn't great for notifying people when I post stuff, but I'm trying to get better about posting on Discord and Twitter when I upload stuff. 

On that note, I've started a new twitter account that will be entirely for fic updates/promos etc, so you can check out  https://twitter.com/SaysiWrites  if you want! I'm still figuring out the balance of what will go on each account so please bear with me!

And finally, those of you who have been with me a while will know that once a month or so I update you on my word count goal for the year. As I mentioned last time, this will probably be the first year that I don't meet my goal, because I'm not likely to write 100k words in ~3 weeks. For anyone curious, though, here's the current tally!

My goal last year was 500k and I finished it on December 31st, so seeing as it's near impossible for me to write 115k before I go away for the holidays (mid-december), my new aim is just to equal or beat my 500k from last year. I spent the final week of 2018 spamming out as many fics as I could, so it's nice that I should be able to beat it comfortably this time despite my struggles with my health this year!
