A Big Post about Rewards and a little about me

This is a big post about Patreon rewards changing and some personal stuff. I want to be transparent, I don’t want to just be a voice behind the curtain so I wanted to share a bit of what is going on in my life. I’ll try to keep this in two parts so if you only want to read about Patreon rewards you can skip over this next paragraph. 

So what is going on with me? Well, since March the place I work at has been losing money, so much so that they fired 8 full time employees (all in management level so this a huge shake up). What this means is that now I am required to take on half of two of those employee’s jobs, essentially I am working two full time jobs now and this will be happening until at least next year. This has already affected me with longer work days and increased workload. I’m lucky to have my job but it is mentally and physically exhausting at the end of the day. I don’t want to make excuses but bare with me if my messages are a little late or posting is delayed by a day or two.

Concerning rewards, I think my Patreon needs to transform and with the changes in my life I think now is the time to edit what I am doing. Since the beginning of my Patreon, about 2 years ago, I have offered sketch pages as my main reward, but I’d like to improve on that. Instead, I’d like to offer full finished art, featuring full shading, highlights etc. + multiple variations. I want to grow as an artist and I think this is the next step, I want to push myself to do finished artworks. Here is what the breakdown will look like;

I hope this makes sense, by devoting more time to fewer, but larger/detailed images I hope to create some really awesome pieces for you all!! As well, Patreon has emailed everyone about implementing a tax on all tiers that receive rewards, so please be aware of this in the coming months if your charges look different! The FAQ about the tax is pretty extensive so I recommend everyone look into it if you haven't already!

The changes to my rewards will be effective July 1 and I understand if folks want to leave because of these changes, I do not hold it against anyone.  I know it may seem a bit late, but I hope this is enough time to give everyone time to think.

I am still growing as an artist and trying to find my foothold. I appreciate everyone who is here, current and past, that has supported me.  By having this Patreon it pushes me to be better and I want to grow and give back, so thank you all so much!! ❤️ ❤️  ❤️
