Multiple Choice thingy

So I was super torn today between making something easy vs proper, I am still going to try for both, but I'm focusing on making the conversation system easy/intuitive. I would like it so if a node diverges into multiple choice answers, the system automatically knows there is a popup with multiple choice options, as many as are available (conditionals to see or not will come later).

I also want it so their order will be made by the position on the flow chart, so higher ones will be first in the list.. even if they were added later in the design process.

The hard part... how do I make all of this integrate with animations system so things like answers can stagger tween in and stagger tween out. And even harder, how do I do this properly and easy to understand. This will be a challenge. For now I'm thinking it will be some very elaborate options in the "conversation layout design" configuration.

(I have been having a similar difficulty with characters adding/moving/animating, and I will try the same approach, simplicity being key)

You are not breaking any bubbles stating something so obvious. ;) I currently spend 2 hours a week on this project, due to my day job and family... I have never claimed to work on this project full time. I'm curious about the global map lag, I am not getting any lag, but it does use more processing than it needs, due to some bad math in the main render loop on the map. Do you have any suggestions on the map markers? I'm thinking about animating them in, but then it would be difficult to tell if the user is scrolled away. Clickable things will have some sort of ui, kind of like the 'continue on path' glowy thing. Though I think if I added it to everything it would be a bit too much... my current idea was to have a shimmer/glow thing appear randomly once in a while, just as a reminder something can be clicked... It's always good to hear some feedback, more solutions are also more than welcome :)

I hate to break your bubble, but you have been developing your game for god-knows how long (at least 1 year!) and yet it is still so terrible!! - Global map is laggy slideshow and controls even dont respond and sometimes character cant even move!! Also whole idea "blue and green dots on the map" as markers to visitable places is bad idea!! If didnt check your 10 months old Patreon posts I wouldnt even know what those dots mean! - Art is really confusing. Navigation through screens is pain in the ass. Sometimes we dont even know what is clickable/active box and what is just inactive background! Couldnt you simply add buttons like "SHOP!", "TALK with CHARACTER 1" "LEAVE SHOP" ???!! Because that random click festival to discover active things is TERRIBLE IDEA!
