Yes, they could be dealt with, but it's very hard. These are extremely rare skills that activated on death. Their power is far beyond level of the master. There ways to deal with them, the simplest being, reaching level high enough, but one needs to reach pretty high. The second is getting the skill that could resist it's effect, these are very rare. The third is have someone very powerful break the skill. There are several more ways, but they are as difficult or more difficult than the two.
