Would you be willing to do an in-depth analysis of Thomas Montgomery’s murder of Brian Barrett, a/k/a the Talhotblond Murder? I’ve long felt that this case deserves much more attention than it received, not only the superficial aspects of Montgomery and the Shieler woman, but more of a psychological deep dive into both, as well as the unusual relationship that fantasy and reality played for all three figures. I’ve been surprised that in all these years there’s not been a book or any real follow up. I don’t even remember reading anything much about the trial when, in my opinion, the defence could have brought out mental health as a factor (given that inexplainable bizarre note Montgomery wrote and kept in his locker at work).
