Sarah's Big Day In Court Pt. 1 - Her Direct Examination

Comments

I like them both but I have to say I lean a little more toward Dreadsgiving! Love your channel!

Froody Chick

i hope you cover more of the evidence presented by the prosecution in a future video because after watching the trial i am convinced her abuse claims were entirely false and any injuries she sustained were as a result of drunken accidents or self-inflicted and blamed on jorge. i am (as everyone should be) always inclined to take someone at their word when they make claims of abuse but sarah’s proven time and time again that nothing she says can be taken at face value - she is pure evil.

veraeyn

The over tone of her “taking care of him in every way” is so gross. She makes it seem like he’s a child and she had to entertain him so he wouldn’t hit her. I’m NOT discrediting her experience with abuse, but given her track record I want to know what she did to him too. She has proof he abused her. Do they have proof she abused him? Given all that you’ve covered I can’t imagine a world where she wasn’t the antagonist. The way she speaks of both men as if she had to do everything and they did things the wrong way is so crazy to me. It’s also convenient that him threatening her and trying to escape the suitcase wasn’t recorded. When I talk about my abuse I still get emotional. I can’t just talk about it as if I’m discussing the weather. Being afraid doesn’t stop after the abuse. I’m not buying any of it. Which sucks for people who are actually abused

Yvette

Thank you!!! Yes she just really strikes me as that “type of person”, so obvs didn’t wanna go off her narrative alone 😂

Reagan Self

I think that's the conclusion that most people have come to - yes, she was abused. Yes, he was abused and controlled by her, too. None of it excuses any of it. She could have left and called the police after she "told him what she was afraid to say otherwise". But she didn't, she left him there on purpose, because she was "afraid he would get out." She never had any intention of letting him out, so her guilty verdict is deserved. But yes, it was a horrible relationship. I feel most sorry for Lukas, because he had to watch it and could so absolutely nothing about it.

Rachel Murray

PS - I like both, but leaning towards "thanksdreading" (works with punctuation too: "thanks, dreading!")

ally

There's body cam footage of a cop asking Jorge how he likes his name pronounced and he does himself say 'George' and I think his family also pronounce it that way. So that's something at least. She certainly would be the type to purposely mispronounce names though.

Eleni

I was astonished that she made it just a bit over 1.5 hours on the stand here (correct me if I missed it earlier in) before some variation of her best known catchphrase pops out - when she makes sure to point out that yes, she overslept, but (of course) it was done... "not intentionally"

ally

Also as a Texan every time Jorge is pronounced George I wanna throw my phone. Did he pronounce it George I wonder? Or is that just another way Sarah disrespected him and stripped him of his identity? Maybe not a huge deal or he went by both pronunciations or only George. Not sure. Where I live I would be corrected immediately if I were using a Peggy hill Spanish pronunciation of Jorge. Could be a regional thing though lol

Right??

MK2222

Sure, but dreading hasn't asserted to being a lawyer AFAIK. Having both makes for a more comprehensive picture since they do things differently. And I do believe in the livestreams during downtime Mindset and guests looked things up.

elsee2

Did we catch that she wants a whole new trial already? 🤣

Claudia

I love your channel so much. Thank you

AW

Legal Mindset doesn't have the facts of this case in his commentary. Dreading is very thorough and fact checks the details to provide a reliable and accurate commentary.

Christie M.

Great accompaniment to Legal Mindset.

It'll make cross that much sweeter

Brian

Idk why but this is the funniest video title I’ve ever seen

Isabel Shaw

honestly I'm a little mad. they're so good at their job that they managed to make Sarah sound boring and almost normal

Kit Walsh

No idea how, but that last lawyer somehow managed to get Boone to present herself as a normal(ish) human capable of cooperation where all those before had failed. Credit where credit is due. Might have to ask him how to convince my remaining parent to stop believing in the worst modern conspiracies theories like drinking their own piss, trying to get other ppl off all their meds, loudly pushing extreme holocaust denial and flat earth beliefs (just the tip of the unhinged iceberg), if he can calm Sarah Boone then he got better chance than me at treating those brain worms lol 🫣😞

Overzealous Euthanasiast

I like the judge in this case. I can’t help but laugh and imagine one of his rules is “IF YOU SNEEZE IN MY COURT ROOM, I WILL SAY BLESS YOU.”

Emily Saunders

Well this will help me sleep tonight! Delusional Sarah trying to make herself less culpable in the killing of Jorge is just so far outside the realms of possibility I do wonder how the 'very clever' Sarah ever thought she could pull it off. I guess the delusional part of Sarah's brain over-ruled everything else. Oh well, she will at least not be able to do it to anyone else for a very long time. Not a fully just punishment to my mind; I believe she deserves a minimum of hard labour in productive work for the period of her sentence rather than being able to actually (apparently) conduct a relationship and spend her time doing pretty much as she pleases. Something useful could come from the rest of her life, like community payback work groups etc. Maybe I'm too old fashioned! Thanks for the great upload Dreading bros 👍

Vicky Lightfoot

I wasn’t expecting to sympathize with her at all. I knew they had an abusive relationship, but I didn’t realize the extent of it. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her after hearing about the endless accounts of abuse. No one should ever have to go through that, and of course if you’ve never been in an abusive relationship it’s easy to say “well why didn’t you just fuckin leave?” However, she’s still an abusive, lying, horrible manipulative person who murdered George (Jorge?) and should be punished for what she’s done. I’m sure she’ll never truly believe what she did was wrong, but she deserves to be locked up for a very long time. Excited to see the cross, and as always, thank you so much Theo and bro ❤️ Looking forward to Dreadsgiving 😈

Emma Hodge

Yeah.. noticed that happen at about 1.02 as well

Sammy

Was waiting for this!

I've been eagerly awaiting this video! Just a quick note - at around 1.01.20 I think your voiceover (talking about Sarah disparaging Georges music taste) is too early, as the clip of her on the stand is after ? I may be wrong tho. Sarah must be one of the most frustrating characters I've seen ... ever tbh. No doubt this isn't the last we've seen of her either!

Lucy Ball

Christmas has come early, thanks Dreading dude

Andrea Riccardi

Yessssss!! Thank you dreadboys for the content I desperately needed. 🖤 Happy Friday Eve

Antoinette C

Dread, this is total speculation (I heard some of this from the STS channel on YouTube and some of the other stuff from other resources) but it's believed when you see Sarah smiling & eyeing the hell out of someone behind the camera in a very "seductive"/smiling way, that she's looking at her girlfriend from jail (who has been released and is in the courtroom at this time) Christina Pena. If you look into her behaviour log while she was in jail in Orange County, you may see some of the same things that a lot of other people have. It's definitely believed that Christina was in the courtroom the day that Sarah testified (maybe more). While They were locked up together they were caught with shared lockers when they weren't supposed to, they also got caught in the bathroom together (when there is only supposed to be one person at a time in there), a few other things I won't say here, definitely got caught talking and interacting with each other in the middle of the night (to the point where Sarah was moved away from her) & the video visits that Christina made or was at least supposed to with Sarah after Christina was released. I'm not sure where the truth lies but when you look at everything through that lens, for a moment, and then look back at Sarah's testimony... It is interesting. Wasn't sure if you would find that interesting or not but there it is either way.

Amanda Reed

Y’all do such a great job 👏 Love that you shout out EBD and LYK as well.

Jen A

I've been anticipating this from you guys since your first post on the case! I AM a bit worried that giving her final attorney only a couple of months to prepare might trigger an appeal that gets her a new trial. She could theoretically get out on bond if that happens! 😖 Also, she is a complete DUMBASS for not taking that sweetheart deal of 15yrs!

A Girl Has No Name

Awesome! I’ve been eagerly awaiting your coverage, can’t wait to watch!!

Emily

Perfect way to start the work day!

American-on-Acid

I have refused to watch any other coverage of this trial until your video! 🤘

Allie

Yesssss, this notification just became a bright spot in my morning. Humboldt county CA - love the channel - thank you for all the work y’all do.

Christian

let’s gooooo

Emmet

Thank you! I’ve been looking forward to your post and commentary. Sarah is out for herself. She puts herself before her only son. That makes her a dangerous individual who would lie, steal, cheat or even kill. Even if alcohol is taken out of the equation, she is a psychopath.

Tina

Let’s go baybee! We’ve all been waiting for this one, thanks bros.
