Migaku Pitch Trainer - Alpha Release!

We're happy to announce the Alpha release of the Migaku Pitch Trainer!

The Migaku Pitch Trainer is a tool designed to help you train your Japanese Pitch Accent perception.

There are a few major features to the trainer.

Introductory Lessons to Pitch Accent

Each lesson:

● Introduces you to a new concept in pitch accent

● Includes a training mode to practice that concept

● A test to graduate to the next lesson which assures you've mastered that lesson before you move on

Train Now Mode & The Level Up System

● Train Now Mode allows you to immediately dive in and start answering questions matched to your current ability

● Gain experience as you answer questions and level up!

● The difficulty of the questions in Train Now Mode scales with your level

Custom Session Mode

● Allows you to train pitch accent according to your specific needs, and focus in on where you find the most difficulty

● Gain experience as you answer questions and level up!

3 Distinct Card Types

● Matching - Hear the sound of a word, then hear the sound of that word pronounced in each of the 4 pitch accent patterns and match the sound you heard. 

A great way to get started if you have no previous experience with pitch accent study.

● Graph - Hear the sound of a word, then match it with its correct pitch accent graph.

● Kaku - Hear the sound of a word, then select the kaku (the character before the pitch drop).

This is a more challenging type of card, so expect to see more of these as you level up.

The Placement Test

● If you already have some experience with pitch accent, you can take the Placement Test, and test out of the lessons you're already familiar with.
