Game Update by the End of This Week

Hi everyone.

A small update on how things are going. I think the update will come out this weekend, October 25–26, but it will be smaller than I initially planned—about 250–300 renders. The thing is, many platforms like updates and promote the game at such times, and from a marketing point of view it’s a more profitable strategy to release updates more often, even if they’re smaller. Yes, it’s less correct from the standpoint of storytelling and the player’s perception, since I think it’s nicer to play a game where an update gives you a large, logically complete chunk of new content. For the first game, I released updates in large logical chunks of 800–1000 renders each, each of which contained new sex scenes, but this time it seems I’ll have to move away from that principle. On the other hand, some people prefer more frequent updates rather than rare but large ones. And those who like to get lost in the game for a couple of hours can simply skip 1–2 updates.

Which do you like more—small but frequent updates, or rare but large ones? I’ve added a poll at the bottom of the page; I’m interested in your opinion. Anyway, I’ll try to release updates more often—ideally once every 2 weeks. It will be difficult, of course, but I’ll try; maybe one update every 3 weeks.

As usual, higher-tier subscribers will get the update earlier than the others. I’ll share a more precise schedule later on Discord.

Also, from now on updates will be released in all languages at once—I’ve created an automated script that will do the translations quickly and almost without my involvement. The translation quality should not suffer.
