Sometimes I feel muddy and gross whenever I overly force myself to try to perfect my art. The final product ends up feeling unnatural so I've learned to just step away from it whenever I'm not feeling it. You might feel guilty and wonder "If you love it shouldn't you be doing it right now?" Well, I don't really think I'm giving it my "love" if I sit there and just force things out. If it's something I'm passionate about, I want to be the best version of myself. And for me to do that, it means knowing when to give myself a break.
