The Housewarming 🏡❤️

I kinda knew I would feel that way because we got a fixer upper, and it was the foresight that we mainly relied on. In the beginning it was hard to really view the place as “home,” but as we gradually made it more and more our own it STARTED to feel that way. But no matter how much we fixed it up to make it look nice, something still felt missing to make it really feel like home. My sister started visiting me every weekend, my parents flew over to visit, and then my friends recently came to have their first sleepover. We never really had a proper housewarming, but I realized that the presence of our family and friends creating memories with us in the new house is what we were missing— it wasn’t official or anything, but I would consider that a housewarming 🏡❤️
