Being Harassed Online ☹️
Added 2021-07-23 06:55:05 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since I've livestreamed anything, and lately I have been taking baby steps back at it through IG Live (Which so far is bleh as many of you may know). Unfortunately, I forget the way that society and the internet can be sometimes, and had a very awkward return back to live streaming with viewers who clearly were not there for the right reasons, leaving various sorts of verbal, sexual, and racial harassment. 😐 What made it even more awkward was that I was trying to keep a straight professional face, giving advice to aspiring artists/students while having to read disgusting things in the background and hold it together. Instagram really needs to improve their chat moderation as an app that claims to want to transition to video. Learning to block someone in the chat is not that clear as you have to hold onto the person's name and answer three questions to officially block them, which is not the most straight forward. Either way, I was able to make it up the next time by finally successfully streaming with Noor in which we were able to block people in real time which was actually fun and hilarious 🤣 You can check out our Q+A in my IGTV tab!
