Worth the Candle, epilogues 1-3

I think that the story as it stands prior to these epilogue chapters is "complete", and it would be perfectly fine to have stopped there, both for me as an author and you as a reader. That said, there were still things that I wanted to pick at, and elements I wanted to interrogate, and I do think it's nice to have everyone have a known trajectory when you finish, so they're not just floating in liminal space.
The rest of the epilogue chapters will be out this week, and then I'll be on to the next thing, with the lingering bits of Worth the Candle being taken care of at a somewhat leisurely pace while I work on other stuff (the speedrun version and the exclusions doc are my only must-haves).

There's also matter of the last chapter of A Brief Guide to Aerb. I want to know more about the gods of Aerb, and their clerics. Does Truuk have clerics? What are Karakter's and Skaduwee's domains?

2021-08-04 07:30:59 +0000 UTCCome to think of it, the speed run version of the story would make for a fun epilogue chapter. The gang creates a heaven that's like Chapter 1 Aerb but everyone but them is a 'spian, and their goal is to reunite and kill FS as soon as possible.
