Upcoming Schedule
Added 2022-09-01 02:36:20 +0000 UTCThis is the schedule I have this next week for games. I am going to be busy the coming days and this weekend for the newspaper writing 3 different schools sports. It will be different each week, some busy, some not, it's just the start to everyone's season this week so doing a special. Today I was published as a writer and photographer in this weeks paper, 3 articles and 4 photos (Lol I am framing the paper and hanging it on my wall). For the girls volleyball, I mentioned how in game 3 the away team was leading 20-22 against the home team in the year 2022, it being the only game the away team won that day in a best out of 4 match, but it got cut. To be fair, half of what I wrote was edited out altogether just because I am still new at writing and a lot of how I write needed corrected to fit the paper's standards. It's fun though. Let me know if I am missing any games in the schedule below. Attached to this post is Daily Numbers 9/1 - 9/5

2022-09-01 20:57:24 +0000 UTCHighly recommend it if an opening pops up, this publisher just happens to be cool with me randomly joining I guess thanks to my neighbor who told my to apply cause they were looking for another staff writer for sports section. I want to show you guys the pictures of this weeks paper but I also want a little bit of privacy if I can get it cause its where I live. The hours are by honor system so I can clock in and out wherever I want I just have to keep track of it when I do and just make the weekly deadline for print. I am covering the local varsity football, volleyball, Golf, Cross Country right now but of course basketball and wrestling and baseball when it comes into season. And there are 2 other towns in the county and it's a county paper and not just the town paper so I am being asked to do those schools this week as well and other weeks. For example, Monday I basically just hung out in a volleyball center for 4 hours taking notes and pictures talking to coach after game then going home writing it up and editing photos and then going to office to submit it. Friday I may have to drive an hour away for the first football game of the season to get photos and notes and quotes.
