NBA Record Heading Into Round 2 Of the Playoffs
Added 2023-04-29 05:11:53 +0000 UTCThe NBA is a special kind of stupid with their injury report fuckery, clear point-shaving in fourth quarters, and obvious team laydowns against bad opponents. Because of this, I have not personally been betting on NBA games as I have in the past. Most of the time, I am just holding onto my money and patiently waiting for me to hit some kind of heater streak which hasn't happened yet this postseason. Here is my picking record for the season, post-season (up-to-date, including Friday's games), and the play-in tourney games:
Regular Season:
277 picks total: 167 wins -110 losses for a 60% win ratio.
Play-In Tourney:
6 picks total: 2 wins - 4 losses for a 33% win ratio.
Playoffs So Far:
42 picks total: 26 wins - 16 losses for a 61% win ratio.
Overall for the season including post-season and tourney games:
325 picks total: 195 wins - 130 losses for a 60% win ratio.
Even though the overall is a 60% win ratio and the season is a 60% win ratio and the playoffs are a 61% win ratio, it definitely doesn't feel that way at all. It feels more like 50/50 luck on any given day, going up 2-0 one day, 0-3 the next, 3-1 another day, 0-2 the next, then another 3-1 day... it's just not consistent at all, regardless of the win percentage. It makes for a lousy environment for betting or trying to find a spot to bet because it gets to a point where you stop trusting yourself when you get a good feeling about a read. Anywhoo...
NBA playoff Round 2 games start this weekend and I will continue with the NBA until it is completely over. I hate to say it, but yet again, just like for the MLB World Series games, all of the NFL playoffs, the entire NCAAM Tourney, and XFL season, Ill be the only public Gematria Decoder on the interwebs who will post a pick for any and all to see if they so choose, for all NBA playoff games.
