2023-07-13 23:10:38 +0000 UTCWoohoo! I did not expect a full watchthrough of this show! It is one of the better ones of the past 20 years. As you say, the show is easily summarised even before you watch it. What is honestly gripping is the extent to which you have sympathy for the main character - and the exact moment when it runs out. You see hints as to his resentment, and to his belief that he settled for less than he could have had but it is still shocking when he reveals the depths of his cold and calculating evil. Even then, you want to make excuses for him and recognise that there are still things to like about him. Eventually though, you will decide that this man -through his own choices - is unworthy of any sympathy. The only question is how many innocents have to die before then?
