When the mind wanders...
Added 2022-02-10 19:05:30 +0000 UTCMy mind used to hold a lot of very small things that felt important. It held big things too but there was a endless string of dates and times, priorities and appointments that my mind juggled and struggled and managed all day.
It was okay, it felt like what being a grown up? At least what I assumed being a grown up meant? It also made me very tired.
If my mind used to be a filing cabinet, now it's a balloon. It floats away and I let it because I like what it finds when it wanders.
I'm much more forgetful now, sometimes in ways that don't matter, sometimes in ways that do. But if I had to take the trade off, I'd always choose the balloon.
Find ways to wander when you can friends. There are good things to be found. Thank you Patrons for being a way I can let my mind wander when it needs to. Your support makes that possible and it means the world.
