From the haze.

Hello lovely Patrons,

I hope you dig the Patrons-only comic this month! Waking from dreams is a very strange process for me. It feels a little like coming up from REALLY deep water and just sloooowwwly adding a layer of reality one at a time. I definitely take a minute or six to fully return to reality.

As a vivid, frequent and strange dreamer I love the odd turns my brain can take but it DOES leave me a little confused when I wake up and have to slowly adjust to not being a mermaid-space-pirate.

Are you a vivid dreamer? A sound-sleeper-non-dreamer? Somewhere in between?

Whatever you are, you are the loveliest for being here and making this space possible for me to wander around in my dreams and then make comics for you about them. Thank you for being here friends, you're amazing.

Sweet dreams.

I do not know. It's the devilishly inspiring red top that makes me do this ;) One day, Brenda, one day we'll both write an illustrated children's book. I get a smile and you get royalties.

Musling how are you so amazing? HOW. Just HOW. I love this so much.

Brenda: The Enchanted Dreamworld Artist: Once upon a time in a small, colorful village called Twitchville, there lived a young, talented painter named Brenda. Brenda was famous for her breathtaking paintings of enchanting forests, mythical creatures, and magical worlds. Her artwork was admired by everyone in the village, but nobody knew her secret. Brenda had a special gift. Whenever she fell asleep, she would transform into a powerful witch in her dreams. As a witch, Brenda had the ability to turn her paintings and drawings into real, living things. Every night, she would embark on incredible adventures in her magical dream world, exploring the vibrant landscapes she had created on her canvas. One evening, Brenda painted a magnificent scene of a shimmering, crystal-clear lake surrounded by majestic, purple mountains. In the foreground, she depicted a majestic golden lion with shimmering wings, a wise-looking owl wearing a tiny wizard hat, and a friendly, grinning dragon. Just before going to bed, she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to meet these magical creatures in person. As Brenda drifted off to sleep, she felt herself transform into the powerful witch of her dreams. As she opened her eyes, she gasped in awe. There, before her, was the magical world she had painted earlier. The crystal-clear lake sparkled in the sunlight, and the purple mountains stood tall and proud in the distance. The lion, owl, and dragon greeted her warmly. "Welcome, Brenda, to the world of your creation!" the wise owl said. "We've been waiting to meet you." Excited to begin her adventure, Brenda climbed onto the back of the grinning dragon, and together, they soared high above the magical world. The golden lion and wise owl flew alongside them, guiding them to a hidden treasure chest buried deep within the heart of a mystical forest. As they approached the treasure chest, they discovered it was locked by an enchanted spell. The wise owl turned to Brenda and said, "Only the power of your imagination can unlock this chest, Brenda. Close your eyes and picture the key." Brenda closed her eyes and imagined a beautiful, ornate key with intricate details. When she opened her eyes, the key had appeared in her hand! She placed it into the lock, and with a soft click, the chest opened, revealing a stunning, magical paintbrush. "This paintbrush holds the power to bring your creations to life, even when you are awake," the wise owl explained. "Use it wisely, Brenda, and continue to fill the world with your extraordinary imagination." Brenda thanked her new friends, and with a heavy heart, she said her goodbyes. As she awoke from her dream, she found the magical paintbrush still in her hand. From that day on, Brenda used her newfound powers to bring joy and wonder to the people of Twitchville, creating a world filled with the enchanting creatures and landscapes from her dreams. And so, Brenda the painter and her magical paintbrush continued to spread happiness and inspiration throughout the land, reminding everyone of the incredible power of imagination and the magic that lies within each of us.
