Six months ago, I posted the first three chapters of Laura's story. Since then:

• 61,000 unique readers, with 900k (!) page views
• 1,000 people signed up
• 300 people donated at least five bucks
• 200 people have become continuing patrons of the project! 💜

Who would have thought we'd get this far? Thank you so much!

This project has the potential for so much more, and I'm excited to share my aspirations, plus what's coming next!

Laura's first book ends at chapter 30, but she'll definitely be in Jo's story, and there's many epilogues to be had...

I've been hard at work outlining, writing, and imagining new stories to tell!

Coming this month: "Josephine on Fire"

Jo is taking over the weekly release position! We're going to start off Jo's story the same week Laura's ends, and I'm going to be releasing nine chapters to patrons to start things off with a bang! Three entirely new, six remasters and reworks of Jo and Amy's story.

New story in progress: "100 Down"

New characters, new vibe!

Max had it all under control—just him, his desk, a cushy social media manager job, and video games after work. But a sedentary life comes with baggage... 100 pounds of it. Time for a change. A drastic, impulsive one: a year-long commitment to personal training at the climbing gym across the street.

One small problem: he never figured his new climbing instructor would be so... unbelievably hot. And Allie certainly didn't expect her husky new client to be so charming and funny. Or to fall for him! Well, he does have really nice eyes and a great laugh...

100 Down features climbing adventures, "totally-professional-just-friends" tent-sharing, a shitty boss, pursuing dreams, and delightful client-trainer sexual tension.

First look! I'm having a blast working on this story. I'm just getting started, but I'm going to work my way up to releasing weekly chapters of 100 Down along with Jo once I get in a good rhythm! For now, enjoy some concept art. I'm still figuring out the look of our characters - I'd love some feedback :)

New fantasy story: (Working Title) "At God's Gate"

A true high-fantasy story...

A city bathed in endless purple twilight, where portals converge and syndicates govern in an uneasy truce. A reserved and timid scholar finds her passions in this place - but can love survive the pull of a dead god's dreams?

I'm so unbelievably excited about this story. I've finally committed to the project, so it's time to announce it!

This one isn't going to get weekly releases - I want to write, edit, and develop At God's Gate as a full book. I want it to launch as a completed, polished work! That also means it will take a while, but I'll keep everyone up to date!

Thank you all so much for the kind words on Laura the Bold - it's given me the confidence and inspiration to pursue a project as ambitious as this one!

A transparent look at my goals (and finances 😅)

Going full-time!

I'll cut right to it: I want to do this full-time. I love writing. I love researching and implementing new technology. I love chatting with this growing community. Going full-time would allow me to invest so much more in things like interactive experiences (games, text interfaces...), new media formats (video, audio...), and of course, writing more stories!

To get there I'm setting a goal: tripple my Patrons in the next 6 months! That's 400 more!

That would be JUST enough money for me to cover rent, food, and healthcare. Right now, we're about a third of the way there! THANK YOU PATRONS!

I'm optimistic that I can absolutely pull this off in 6 months. Now I just have to keep making good stuff to make it worth it :D

Growth and reaching more people.

To that end, I could use your help! The biggest barrier right now is simply reaching a wider audience. If you believe in my writing and want to see it succeed, I'd love to hear from you any ideas for how I can reach even more people!

People tend to love the stories when they can get to my website - it's just the trick of getting them there in the first place 😅
