as watching it curve around hidden spaces
of never before seen felt
as watching meaning coalesce into new words we utter softly under our beating eyes
as floating in impulse carrying us towards somewhere we’ve never been
as soft wounds open on our legs and we remind ourselves of our motionless gazes
locking and intertwining
i remember the words “to pretend”
and wonder if in this moment im dreaming
as running downstream towards the open shore
bathing in perfect motionless memory
the breeze against you is as soft and warm as your body
we could run away or stay here
and I’d be home
