Update: Final Call For Alphonse Pins, Post Search, and More!

Hello, friends! I hope the chocolate/candy/sugar hangover from yesterday is treating you well. I wanted to post a quick update to talk about a few things!

Enamel Pin Hypeee!

The Alphonse enamel pin special offer ends today at 12:00pm cst, and I can't thank you enough for the incredible response. If you want to get your hands on the pin, you'll want to upgrade to the $20 tier before then. I knew that doing a pin for one of the big characters would be a success, but I didn't quite realize how massive it would be! I'm already planning the next pin, which would be based around a big thing I'm planning for this Summer! Getting physical goodies in your hands is one of the most gratifying things I've been able to do as a creator and I'm so excited for what lies ahead!

Finally, Post Search Is Here!

If you haven't noticed, when browsing my posts you should be able to find a search bar that will allow you to specifically seek out keywords both in the title and body of each post. Patreon was kind enough to let me participate in the beta for this feature and ughhhh we've needed it for so long. Patreon is currently working on making it easy to find the rewards you've unlocked and make the overall patron experience easier. 

I've been as loud a voice I possibly can in my interactions with Patreon. They actively take feedback and I've even participated in calls and conferences with them about product and features. What I've advocated for most was making YOUR experience as simple and accessible as possible, it's the biggest weak spot of Patreon. The app being a mess, the struggle of finding content when there's literally hundreds of posts to sort through, having to bend over backwards to try and make things as easy as possible for patrons...that's the stuff I really tried and make crystal clear, and I'm not the only one. So even if these updates have been slow, I do believe Patreon is working towards improving as a platform. 

I said something to the effect of "When someone gives me their money, I want a red carpet rolled out for them. I don't want them to be tossed into infinite scrolls that bug out after 50 posts and confusing filters. I want them to see everything laid out in a way that allows them to clearly see just how much stuff they've unlocked and let them choose where to begin." and I think they got the message loud and clear. I want to believe that by the end of 2020, we'll all be a lot happier with how finding and enjoying content feels on Patreon.

My Goals For 2020!

YuuriVoice as a thing has grown so much, so rapidly over the past six months. I haven't been able to put a number on my goals for 2020, not only because it's so hard to judge where things may lead, but because my goals are a little different in general this year.

This is the year I want to completely refine my process and lay down the foundation for what is to come. I've been doing things the hard way this entire time, a messy creative person just struggling from release to release and occasionally having big bursts of productivity and success. I'd like to have something a bit more reliable and efficient in place, because doing it week to week like this stresses me out so bad and it has been so hard to try and do anything different because I fall behind and then all I can manage to do is just keep the bare minimum going because it's hard to be creative when I'm so damn anxious and stressed.

So eliminating that is my biggest goal for the year. There are a few ways I'll be doing that, many of which you'll likely hear about soon! I feel good about where we're at, and where we're going. 

Content may slow down over the next two weeks as I do some "house keeping" and work on the things that are causing me anxiety. I owe people work, I need to get pins shipped, I need to work on putting some new systems in place. Thankfully, I'm feeling really capable and excited!
