Things we know about Seth aka real bad boi after my own heart. He lived in the “backwater” town when he was a child and probably left with his Mom and her new husband Steve? Or he could have left beforehand and gone crazy with Alphonse. Being as he called his dad “spineless” and that he never called or visited I’m more likely to think the former is true. Some resentment might have built up from being shanghaied with his mom and “Steve”. Which is another interesting tidbit of info, he doesn't call him his new dad which leaves me to believe that he doesn't like him either. Perhaps some abuse is involved? That would provide more reason for Seth to have a bigger chip off his shoulder, what with the abandonment of one father to the abuse with the other. The only thing keeping me from fully thinking so is that Seth calls Steve “A real man”. Seth doesn't seem to be sarcastic when he makes this comment. So it’s hard to tell if Steve is someone who believes in misogyny (Some people describe a real man to be misogynist) or if he’s abusive either physically or mentally. His childhood was spent here, that much we know for sure. In his own words it’s been “a long time” which is so vague that a timeline really can’t be constructed. That being said, he does tell us that he would have recognized the listener to be one of the kids. He also calls himself the “The proud son of this town” which has gotta be the weirdest wording I’ve heard to say “Yeah I’m from here”. Unless there is something more?? “I’m not one for games either” HOLY ADSGJDSLGH this for some reason jumped out at me and punched me in the face. Is he talking about the cat-and-mouse game that’s currently going on with Alphonse? What kind of game did you guys play back in the old days? Also really ironic that he comes back and then insists that anyone who does come back is running from something. LIke Sir what exactly are YOU running from, or I guess you're the exception and instead are running to Alphonse. “Ya know, hanging someone out to dry who you supposedly love, that is real low.” Wow ok buckle in we have a lot to unpack with that sentence. First of all the way he says it makes me think that this is something Seth dealt with personally. Seth being in a relationship with Alphonse hits all of the marks. Alphonse did say he looked good in bisexual lighting. Also who’s to say that Seth isn’t the one who let him sleep on his couch (go way back in your mind palace and remember that Alphonse didn’t have a place to stay for awhile and slept on somebody’s couch). If these two were in a relationship then it’s really hard not to come to the concussion that it was Alphonse who up and left. Knowing Alphonse he probably left without a goodbye and just ghosted Seth (Hah, wow back to Guzma’s dilemma, huh?). Also towards the end of that phone call Seth says “All I want is a conversation, you owe me that much...” which really cements in the fact that Alphonse left Seth before anything could really be dealt with. Then of course we have the elephant in the room “Hate him?..I don’t hate him. I probably should. No, I love that stupid asshole.” Yeah this basically proves everything stated above. Alphonse ghosted Seth and ran back to the small town, afraid of seeing him again. Seth of course is upset and also returns to the town that apparently nobody likes (Seriously have not heard one nice thing about the place 0/10 stars). That being said Seth still loves Alphonse and is probably ready to fist-fight the listener for him.

I want to throw these hands but with knowledge that I will get beat to a bloddy mess on the bar floor- this dude is scary. (But also, tbh, the Listener can't force their way in here. The best they can do is be supportive and trust Alphonse. When Al is ready to share his past, he will and even if Seth turns out to be a royal asswipe, when it comes down to it, it's not the Listerner's business until Al involves them of his own volition. )I'm so fucking excited to see where Yuurivoice takes this.
