August '22 Update: Coffee & Vibes

Then I desperately try to say the word "catastrophizing" and embarrass myself. Not a ton of pure content updates, but I discuss my trip to Colossalcon TX and how my panels went + how my mental/physical health is, if that's your cup of tea.

2022-09-11 03:34:20 +0000 UTCIt is intentionally being told that way. The biggest mystery being who the "fellow steward" is. The listener character knows who it is, but has not been mentioned by name. This is an intentional thing that lends itself to a much broader story being told. It would require some careful listening to other series to have a decent guess at who that character may be. There's certainly a fair point to be made that with the way all the stories are presented and organized, it is much harder to fairly tell a story that involves a level of mystery (or listener insert knowing what literal listeners do not know) but I've got a few ideas for tidying that up and then once more information is revealed it'll be satisfying for both those who had pieced together info as well as those who may have missed a few pieces. I think a big issue currently is that not only is that particular mystery a key element, there is an entire new fantasy world being introduced and that's A LOT to ask people to digest in one go. These are issues I'm currently plotting to solve before diving much deeper into things.
