Moving forward and studio changes

Hello everyone! 

Here's the post for everything that had happened last month and what we are going to do next. 

Let's start off with the public build. We had a flux of new people show up after EOK was posted on an adult game forum. A while ago, I had stopped updating the public build since the game was rather rough early on. Because at the time, I thought it wasn't really to be pushed. This sadly meant all the new people had only seen an old build that was at least a year old if not more. So I felt rushed to pushed out a new public build thinking that it was indeed ready. As you all know, it wasn't. To this I will release the public build when it is ready.  

The failure of the public build did, however, show me some of the main problem we have to deal with. The core problem is that this game is now a large game. (Large for us at least) I tried to offset this problem by getting more people to help but that wasn't enough. I kept rushing the game for a monthly build when the game just needs more time now that it's built out. It also need more testers other than just one person. On top of all that, I also have to worry about the studio, I've been working on this game for three years and only a few months with a team. Even though progress has been made, the studio is still unknown and can't really grow until I show off what we can do. So let me talk about how we are going to address all this.

Longer times between updates

Starting today, I can no longer guarantee a monthly build. I'll start working on a public road map for the game and I will try to give a rough estimate when the next update will go out instead. This will allow us to make more solid build and make sure things work before you folks play it. This will also give us more time to deal with any problems that might happen due to life. To make up for this, at the every end of month, I will release a progress report of the game. I will try to include anything that we worked on and for higher tiers they will get any WIP of adult stuff on top of their tier reward.

Tester Channel 

To address the testing problem, I'm going to be adding a tester channel to the discord. I still have to set this up and figure out the details, but we are going to offer tester roles for anyone on the five dollar tier and above. Anyone in this role will get their name placed as a tester for the game credits and they will get the chance to test the latest build before anyone. 

Blind Wolf Games Focus

I'm going to start trying to push Blind Wolf Games as a whole, I've already talked in the past on how I wanted to rework things on that front and well that time is near. We are going to start formatting things a little differently. First off, I will be changing the EOK Discord to the Blind Wolf Game discord. This just makes more sense for us to do, as EOK isn't the only game we are making. We will have a EOK channel and section but we'll have also other channels for anything else we are working on.  EOK is going to be our flagship game for this dev cycle, but we are also going to work on a side project.  We really need to start getting the studio's name out to the public and hopefully these side projects will help with that.  This change shouldn't delay the flagship game. Finally, we haven't decided yet, but I think we will open up a new small tier just for anyone who wants to play the side project game but not EOK.

UNITY

Now a little update about the Unity drama.  It's going to take a while for us to move over to another game engine. We decided that we are going to finish off any games we are working on with Unity and while we finish those projects, we will be learning a new game engine on the side and hopefully at some point, we'll make the shift. It's been hard getting hit with the drama while in the middle of dealing with the failed public build. Even more reason why we need more time.
