What's Happening
What's the big story? Russia lost an A-50U AWACS aircraft and had an Il-22M command control airplane severely damaged, with evidence growing that Ukraine has significantly improved its air defense capabilities.
What's the second story? Russia increased probing attacks along the entire line of conflict but didn't gain any new territory.
What's the bonus story? Not as much a story but a theme - Russian milbloggers are becoming increasingly vocal with their frustration about the "don't say war" laws.
