I used to feel the same way about Vicki, but eventually, I saw how tragic her life was. The necklace's purpose was to find Bonnie. At first, when Damon answers Stefan's phone call, he resorts to sarcasm, but once Stefan says he needs his help, Damon’s facial expression changes to concern. There is still a residual of love among the brothers.
