Excellent episode in that we found out what really happened with Katherine and the other vampires that were rounded up in 1864. Damon now has to decide whether to leave Mystic Falls and the woman he loves behind or whether to try to find another way to extricate her. Regardless, his relationships with Stefan, Elena and Bonnie will be strained. I also liked that it didn't let us hear the conversation between Bonnie and Elena and simply showed that Elena was telling her what she could about vampires etc. Ian Somerhalder has such great acting skills, conveying every emotion with his facial expressions and his eyes. It's not all acting out and ranting and carrying on but we get the message. Elena was a pain in the ass, changing her mind again about whether or not she can be with Stefan who now says he can't be with her. Alaric is an unknown quantity at this point but I like that Jenna has an interest in someone. Logan turning up is bad, but since Jenna knows nothing about anything, she could actually be in more danger than if Elena told her rather than try to keep her out of the loop. As usual, your insights and discussion regarding the show are excellent.
