2024-01-21 23:02:38 +0000 UTCHi Maribel, Patpet - I chose to cancel my patreon subscription rather than feel like I can't post comments without having others who don't agree with my viewpoint think it's okay to insult and abuse and try to say that what we think is wrong. I understand having different opinions and giving examples to back those up, but surely that can be done without being nasty and upsetting other people who are simply trying to enjoy the community and discuss a show we love. If we like Damon, we're wrong and it's only because of his looks. If we don't think Bonnie is super nice, we're wrong - even though it's justified at the present time. Not one character is perfect - Caroline, Stefan, Bonnie & Damon have all done terrible things but the only people who are constantly attacked are the ones who like Damon.

2023-10-31 10:42:15 +0000 UTCI really like this episode. Season 2 is so good, ugh. The scene with Caroline and Liz is so emotional. Katherine showing them how she is always one step ahead. The break up scene with Elena and Stefan because Paul’s crying face always gets to me. Mason’s death is so tragic but I get why he HAD to go. Damon feeling guilty and accepting responsibility for his actions. Bonnie and Caroline starting to fix their relationship. Bonnie getting involved and getting more powerful. Damon and Stefan playing good cop/bad cop. Caroline getting stronger and realizing how useful she is. Jeremy feeling somewhat included and trying to help which was adorable. Poor Jenna man, they need to tell her what's going on so that she’s more prepared omg. Tyler looks so sad and disappointed when he learns Mason “left”. I love the scene where Damon is taunting Katherine and Stefan is shaking his head like … “this is so dumb.” The beginning montage showing the parallels between Elena and Katherine was amazing. Especially the part where Katherine bites Mason and Elena pricks her finger to offer blood to Stefan. Apparently they are … not quiet, which is awkward considering Jenna heard them. Jenna and Alaric cooking together, so cute. I do wish Mason had stayed longer because I did like his character but I get why Damon had to kill him since he already tried to kill him and Stefan before. Also, it’s interesting to see someone so invested in Matt since he is such a universally disliked character (at least from what I’ve seen). And lastly, let me just start by saying that I don’t think anyone could ever be able to bring Damon to life better than Ian. I can’t think of anyone else who brings this much charisma into the role. Ian is Damon. That being said, and this is a personal thing, his eye acting can be distracting to me like … sometimes it looks like he’s having a stroke. Some people like it though so, to each their own.
