We're changing the Patreon

Hey there backers! So we’re making a pretty big change to the Patreon. But first! A huge thanks to all of you for supporting us so far! You guys really are the best and we can’t say how much we appreciate you going on this little journey with us.

Unfortunately, we maaaay have bitten off more than we can chew. As we mentioned in our Patreon video, making new original shows is a LOT of work--even more than we originally realized when we made the Patreon video! In short, we were a little too ambitious, because between the new shows, the Podcast, the other Patreon rewards, on top of our typical daily grind, we just can’t keep up with everything we promised--at least not at the level that we feel you deserve. So we want to simplify things.

Which is why we’re changing our Patreon. We’re dropping the different tiers and going with only one: a single $1 option.

But it’s not all bad news! In fact, it's mostly good news. Because for $1, you’ll still get the Podcast early, as well as most discussions available as an MP3 download AND early access to our NEW show episodes like Cool Bits, Missing in Action, and more (Yep, we’re still going to be making them--just not on any kind of regular schedule!) anywhere from a few hours to a few days (or maybe even weeks!) early. And there might be other occasional random bonuses thrown in too .Basically, you're getting more rewards for less! They just may not be on any kind of regular schedule, except for the Podcast.

We’ll be changing this effective of March 31st. Which means if you’re pledged at $2 and above, you’ll have to repledge at $1 if you want to continue supporting us. And if you’re already pledge at $1? You’re set! You don’t have to do anything at all--you’ll just now get even more rewards for it! So in short: no one will be charged more than $1 a month from this point on (unless you manually choose a higher amount). Unfortunately, this does mean some rewards are going away for our top-most tiers, like Live Discussions (sorry Michael!) and live Hangouts (but we'll be having one more for our $20 backers before the end of the month, which we'll be announcing shortly!)
