Added 2024-07-14 21:20:10 +0000 UTCI'm working on a commission for someone with a cheetah character... which is something I failed to realize initially. I ended up drawing a generic tiger-like feline that really didn't do it for me at all. It didn't look like the character, looked too much like a tiger for a character who clearly wasn't one, was a little low on detail...
So I tried again, and the coloration on the character initially made me assume he was a snow leopard. I tried to do something fairly realistic and a bit more detailed, and took my time getting it right... Of course, he's not a snow leopard, he's a cheetah! So I had to scrap that too.
My next design was indeed a cheetah - pretty rough at first, but then I took another pass, refined him some more and I finally arrived at something I felt looked pretty good.
