Added 2025-05-31 21:29:57 +0000 UTCSooo this was a lot of information so here it goes, the Aperture Science timeline in my head as follows:
Shower curtain salesman tycoon buys salt mine for Science, rivalry with Black Mesa begins, they conduct shady experiments with human testing: first up using actual Olympians, astronauts and war heroes. Potentially gets exposed because missing and sick astronauts and what not: Aperture goes bankrupt. Also at some point they built the Borealis? I thought I might find an Easter Egg or something about it but haven't so far!
Anyway, they then use poor people off of the street with nothing to lose. They then switched to using employees where testing was mandatory, before they transitioned to using androids to run the facility? Where was he getting this money from hahaha. Anyway, terrible place to work, Mr Johnson ate the moon rock gel, dies, puts Caroline in charge, then somehow they put her into Glados. Then the events of the comic take place, with Glados trying to kill them all constantly and they try to inhibit her from doing so.
Does the rivalry with Black Mesa come into play in like a portal- teleport-technology rat race? They cut corners and used dangerous Science to try to win? I don't know, these are my thoughts so far! It was fun, potato Glados is adorable.

Happy to hear you're thinking about Stray and Detroit Become Human. When it comes to Detroit don't be afraid to reload a save if you make a bad choice or mess up a quick time event, some people might complain but I think more would complain about missing out on a better story path.

2025-06-01 08:25:19 +0000 UTCCave Johnson is one of my favourite parts of this game. Glados is amazing, Wheatley is amazing, but with J.K. Simmons voicing Cave it's just hard to top that performance. His "When life gives you lemons" speech is burned into my mind haha. Super fun episode! One of the reasons i like watching your content so much is because you're always trying to piece together lore and things, and this episode was full of that. Can't wait for the next one!
