Okay! I was so excited I posted before watching the video. I can confirm the second floor exists above the PetSmart. The access is limited, but the receiving area inside of PetSmart (the side where you located the fun Wards label scar) there is a massive old elevator. One of the PetSmart associates climbed up the elevator shaft in the mid 2000s - he came back down with a mannequin arm. I also have memories of the construction workers closing off our connection to the mall and when they started the JC Penney's building - we had to not take fish delivery because our fish wall was next to where construction was taking place and they didn't want any issues or incidences. So funny to think of these things years later. But all good memories. Thank you for doing this video - as you can see, you totally made my day!

While attending college, I was a manager at PetSmart. When I got assigned to this mall in the earlier 2000s, I was delighted. I researched all I could about this mall. At this point, they still had the old Dillards attached where the Target wing now is. The PetSmart was attached to the Mall until the JC Penney's was built. The remodel really took out so much of the old charm that it had. But now I live just blocks from here and shop here all the time. While I miss the older charm (removing the older brick tile and the center fountain), it is such a great mall for getting errands complete. Love Christown. Love hearing stories about the sand castle displays, the bird display and the old bars from folks that grew up in the area.
