Like Iris saying that was like a test to see if she should tell him yet, and Nora making the mistake by saving him from the satellite crash. But, to be honest. I'd be bothered that for multiple seasons now the 'big bad' really is just alterations to the timeline.

Because if not for Nora being there to help Barry destroy the satellite, Barry would've died and obviously you can't have a child with someone if they're dead. So for Nora growing up, Barry was dead, she came back to save him. The same way Bart did in the Young Justice series.
