Greetings adventurers!

The natural world is home to many wonders that excite and astound and so long as you pay the world a modicum of respect and consideration, these wonders may be willing to work with you as well. Perhaps they were a gift from one who walked such a thing, but I have heard of living bridges that make the forest ravines their homes, seeking to serve the creatures who live amongst the forest. It would appear as though these boots have been blessed by one such creature so that you can have a bit of its service where you need it most.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:
I’m always fascinated by trees fallen over rivers forming a natural bridge. That was really the entire inspiration for these boots as well as the creature this month. I love nature photography and for some reason, the ones of trees that have fallen over a river really just speak to me. I think it’s a great aesthetic and I wanted to fly that out into a magic item and more. This is what I mean when I say inspiration can come from anywhere.
The most basic form of these gives you a bit of extra movement as well as the ability to pass over naturally created difficult terrain. I always think that the specific is often more interesting than the broad. That is to say that it’s more fun to give your players something that lets them solve a specific problem rather than a general one. They get to feel special when there’s an encounter with grasping vines on the ground but they get to ignore it basically. It creates a niche to bring up later.
The second ability of these, to get over a gap, seems like it could solve a lot of problems in an instant, but first 30 feet is not that far and you can always make a gap bigger to compensate. The other bigger issue is that sure, this person can get across but what about everyone else? Well that’s where the interesting challenges can come in. Still, we’re giving specific solutions rather than broad ones.

This is a holiday week for us here in the states, but next week we’ll be journeying to PAX UNPLUGGED in Philadelphia from December 6th through the 8th.
