Map Men Merch store - NOW OPEN!

Good morning/afternoon depending on your persuasion.

I've got something very exciting to show you... after a lot of delay and faff, (sorry for the delay and faff), this week sees the launch of MapMenMerch.com!

Yes, Mark and I have opened our very own shop where you can buy T-shirts, posters, mugs, stickers, face masks, phone covers and so on that all bear logos, phrases and maps from Map Men. Map Men fans will now be able to spot each other from across a train platform and give each other a nod and a wink. Just in time for Christmas! It’s all terribly exciting!

http://www.MapMenMerch.com

And because you’re my very favourite people to whom, and without whom, I owe a tremendous gratitude and none of this would be possible respectively, you get to see it before anybody else AND you get a 10% discount off everything for being a Patreon supporter. Type the promo code “PATREON” to get 10% off everything! (Please keep it super-secret! It’s just for you Patrons because you’re all brilliant.)

Bit of a disclaimer… our shop is still a little bit rough around the edges. Mark and I have never been shopkeepers before. (I had a Saturday job in Argos in 2002, and Mark may or may not have worked in a shop before I knew him - I’m in a tunnel right now and can’t ask him.) So, this is your chance to walk into the store, have a snoop around before it’s properly open, come up to the counter where Mark’s polishing a glass and I’m replacing the till roll, and tell us what you like and don’t like about our shop! What needs changing? What’s in the wrong place? What item that you’d expect to be there isn’t there? Etc and so on. Even if you don’t buy anything, any advice you can give us inexperienced shopkeepers at this early stage will be very greatly appreciated!

There’ll be more updates about Unfinished London and the next musical livestream coming soon in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for those too.

Once again, and I really don’t say this enough, thank you so so much for continuing to support me on Patreon!

Very best thank yous and goodbye for now!

Jay

P.S. Mark says he once worked 12 hour night shifts in a pork pie baker.

Spotted a typo on the Peirce projection map merch page. In the description it says "Created in 1879 by American Charles Sanderson Pierce". The last name should [unfathomably] be spelt Peirce.

Agreed, I would be most interested in London themed stuff - maybe a shirt with a London map on it.

Some unfinished London merch would be great, if possible. Or politics unboringed.

What'd you buy?

Ay man, anything I can do to suppport one of the most creative, funniest and overall best creators / entertainers on not only youtube but that I follow FULL STOP. Seriously, you're great and I hope that you put the 22.50 to good use. :D

This might just be me but I would always say unisex isn't very appealing. They end up tight at the top and ridiculously baggy at the bottom so if there's a way to get a women's fit I'd recommend it!

Thanks Alex!!

Hi Asaf. Thanks for letting me know about the formatting issues. I think your browser is showing a different font to mine, because the "i"s look normal, and I'm not seeing that character after the first 2 paragraphs. Could you send me a screenshot so I can see what you're seeing? (best email is jayforemanmusic@gmail.com)

Jay Foreman

Another detail I forgot to add... the plain coloured T-shirts with our logo on are unisex, but the all-over-print T-shirts with maps on them allow you to select mens or womens. Hope that helps!

Jay Foreman

Just bought a shiny new t-shirt, I like the large logo

Alex Goodman

Thank you so much for pointing that out! Will change that as soon as I get home. (I’m in supermarket now.)

I really like the shop, good job! I would like to see even more color options for the topographical map design. Also I support the tote bags idea! The size of posters is given as 12x16/16x20/24x36. I assume it's measured in inches? Would be helpful to add that info, especially for us people from Europe and the rest of the world, where metric units are used.

In the welcome text, I see this character after the first 2 paragraphs:
In case you can't see it, here's an image I found on Google to illustrate: https://i.stack.imgur.com/FhiMv.jpg (Running the latest Chrome on Windows 10)

Asaf Sagi

The welcome text should begin with "We're the men, and here's the store" :D

Asaf Sagi

I find the font weird. The i looks like an l (or I). I don't need a T-shlrt, I need a T-shirt.

Asaf Sagi

Thanks Caitlín! 1. I've changed the description so it's clear the T-shirts are for all genders. Hope this helps! 2. Tote bags! Great idea, we hadn't thought of that. We'll think about adding those (and some extra stickers) very soon. 3. We thought it was time for a new logo, so we had this one designed specially. It'll be used in the intros to the rest of series 3 (which will be 11 episodes long), so it should look much more familiar very shortly. :)

Jay Foreman

Thanks! That's fixed now.

Jay Foreman

- As said above, if I don't see women's fit I never click on t-shirts as they're nearly always men's fit and so useless. - Tote bags! - Also, what's with the logo? To me the Map Men logo is the big red letters, I don't know and love this new one :( - More sticker options with fan favourite moments Will also say it's very technically good, just needs more stuff I like :)

The Polish Map Mug seems to be missing the "Accessories" tag and only shows up on the All page... I almost missed that gem
