I drew this illustration traditionally, but it got really distorted, so I scanned it with my smartphone and imported it to my PC. I made a lot of corrections in CLIP STUDIO PAINT. Getting the balance right is tough...!

■皆さん、ふたけっと楽しんでいますか？

■こんにちは、愛昧亭うまみです。僕も皆さんに負けないくらい、ふたけっと33を思いっきり楽しんでいます！当日、へばっていなければ…ですが（笑）。好きな作家さんの本は手に入りましたか？新しい出会いはありましたか？

ふたけっとでは、この会場という空間にたくさんの濃い感情が渦巻いているように感じます。この場にいるだけで本当に楽しいです。もちろん、本を手に取ってもらうことや、会場をじっくり練り歩くのも最高に楽しいです！

■さて、今回は新刊を2冊出しました。1冊は1年以上かけて書き上げた作品で、思い入れが強いです。いろいろなことを乗り越えて完成したので、読んでくださった方が少しでも楽しんでくれたら嬉しいです。これは毎回思っていることではありますが……。

スケブまとめの本も、気がつけば7冊目になりました。これまでたくさん描かせてもらったなあとしみじみ感じつつ、まだまだ描きたい気持ちで編集しました。えっち、この一冊に凝縮されています。

■今回、いろんな方が色紙をたくさん出しているようです。僕も久々に色紙を描いたんですが、アナログで絵を描くのは目の前に「もの」ができあがる、その実感がとても楽しいですね。一点物を持ち帰ることができるのも嬉しいです。

手描きの色紙には、印刷物にはない力があるんだと改めて感じました。ちなみに、今回は色紙を描く際にコピックチャオという、コピックの入門編の画材を使いました。発色がすごく良くて、手軽に塗れるのに鮮やかな色が簡単に出せるので、描いていてとても楽しかったです。もちろん、発色が良い分、扱いにくい部分もありますが、どうやったら上手く使いこなせるか考えるのも楽しみの一つでした。

今回はデビューセットの10色入りコピックチャオを使いましたが、描いているうちにどんどん新しい色が欲しくなって、久々に物欲が刺激されまくりました（笑）。でも、イベントでしか使わないし、そんなに買ってもなぁ…なんて思いつつ、また描きたくなるかもしれないし…。次に色紙を描くのはいつになるのか、いろんな思いが巡りますが、やっぱり絵を描くのは本当に楽しいです。

■次回の参加予定は冬コミですが、体調を優先して無理はしないつもりです。それでも新しいものは用意したいなと思っています。また来年のふたけっとでは元気な姿でお会いできると嬉しいです。

■ Hello everyone! Are you enjoying Futaket?

■ Hi, this is Aimaitei Umami. I'm having just as much fun at Futaket 33 as all of you! That is, if I’m not too worn out on the day... haha. Have you managed to get your favorite artists' books? Have you found any new favorites? Futaket is a place overflowing with intense emotions, and just being here is an absolute blast. Of course, it's also amazing to see people picking up my books or to leisurely stroll around the venue.

■ This time, I have released two new books. One of them took over a year to complete, so I’m deeply attached to it. I went through a lot to finish it, and I’d be thrilled if those who read it enjoy it even just a little. Well, that’s how I feel every time, but still...

The other book is a collection of sketches, and before I knew it, this is already the 7th volume! I edited it while reflecting on how much I’ve drawn so far and feeling the desire to keep drawing more. It’s packed with a lot of spicy content.

■ It seems like many people are offering hand-drawn shikishi this time. I also drew one for the first time in a while, and creating something tangible with traditional tools was truly enjoyable. I’m happy to be able to offer such a unique piece. I’ve realized again how hand-drawn shikishi possess a power that printed items can’t match. By the way, this time I used Copic Ciao, an introductory set of Copic markers, to color the shikishi. The colors are incredibly vibrant and easy to apply, making it a lot of fun to draw with. Of course, the vividness can make them a bit tricky to handle, but figuring out how to master them was part of the fun.

I used the 10-color debut set of Copic Ciao, but the more I drew, the more I wanted new colors. It’s been a while since I felt such a strong urge to buy something, haha. But then I think, "I only use them for events, so do I really need to buy more...?" Still, I might feel like drawing again soon. Who knows when I’ll make another shikishi, but one thing’s for sure: drawing is just so much fun.

■ My next planned event is Winter Comiket, but I’ll prioritize my health and won’t push myself too hard. Even so, I hope to bring something new. I look forward to seeing you all again at next year’s Futaket, and I hope I’ll be in good health.
